What: Clinique take the day off cleansing balm
Packaging: It’s a medium-to-soft textured cream that comes in a purple tub (jar?).
My Verdict: This is not only a make-up remover balm, it also removes the dirt and impurities from the face. It’s a really good cleansing balm. And the plus factor is that a little quantity goes a long way. It gently removes the eye and facial make-up without irritating the skin at all (ofcourse it’s Clinique – clinically tested). I bought this product with no expectations so I am kind of happy!
How I use it: I use it specially on days when I have a BB cream or foundation or any eye make-up on. I massage a little more than pea-sized amount mixed with few drops of water on my face and neck for about 30 – 40 seconds (or till the time I feel all the make-up has melted) and then rinse off with water. Then on top of it, I wash my face my face with the Neutrogena Facewash. That’s it. My face becomes super clean leaving no traces of make-up. If I don’t use the facewash after the balm, I feel the oily residue of the balm on my face and I don’t like it. I like my face super clean so I use the facewash post this product (you can totally skip it, if you like). On other days (when I don’t have make-up on, I simply wash my face with my regular facewash.)
This product also removes sunscreen and any other creams you apply on your face. So, it’s best to be used at night when you clean your face to remove everything before performing your night skin regimen. The texture is creamy and milky. It has no fragrance so that’s another good factor if you don’t like fragrance in your products. I have always been a fan of Clinique products and this one doesn’t disappoint either.
Cons: Honestly, I could not think of any!
