Where to begin with…. Well, hi! I’m still alive and kicking even though the blog wasn’t that much active. This break was purely unintentional. Initially, it was procrastination which turned in to laziness, and as the days kept passing by I almost stopped thinking about the blog. So all the blame goes to moi. If there is one thing that I am quite active on, it’s Instagram. Yes, I still take pictures and put up a few snippets on there, if you care to follow.
Oh well, these past few months have been kind of awesome. Our baby girl turned one in December. We also traveled to India which was one hell of a vacation. Life is good, God is kind. And I promise I am going to start posting regularly, it feels like my mojo is back. 😉
Shot under the evening sun, wearing this beautiful 3 piece suit, these pictures have come out really nice. I bought the fabric in India and got it stitched there. Isn’t the print spectacular? Shoes are from Clarks.
Wish you a lovely week ahead.

Wishful Thinking

Being an Indian, I do not wear as many Indian dresses as I should. However this past weekend, I wore one of the dresses gifted by my mom. (Thanks mom, love you!).
As the pregnancy is progressing, my discomforts are also increasing. The ‘special assistance’ needed in getting up, lying down, tying up shoes etc. is so inconvenient. I may not look huge in my pictures, but I feel HUGE. Seriously. And if you trust the scales, so far I’ve gained 22 pounds (10 kgs) since becoming pregnant (not bad.. eh!!). So obviously, I’m bound to feel gigantic. And in these remaining 7 weeks, baby is expected to gain more weight (fat), so let’s see how that goes!
Well, truth be told, I’m tired.
Tired of being pregnant.
Tired of looking for someone to tie my shoes for me.
Tired of not being able to workout.
Tired of having to take breaks and slow down every now and then.
Tired of huffing and puffing like an 80 year old.
Tired of the frequent bathroom visits. Sometimes its false alarm, which makes it even more annoying!
Tired of the back pain.
Tired of just feeling tired.
I just want these 40 weeks to go by fast and the baby to pop out. On time ofcourse. No, I don’t want her to come ‘early’. I just want these last few weeks to ‘fly’!
Is that possible? Do wishes come true? Please say yes!

P.S. Completed 33 weeks of pregnancy today.
P.P.S. Thanks to my father in law for taking these bomb pictures of us. Thanks Dad!

A Photoshoot Gone Bad

I think I am not the only one who went through this.. I guess all my fellow bloggers would agree here! I dressed up.. even applied make-up (for a change) that day and was pretty excited since it was going to be an Indian outfit photo shoot! We clicked pictures, came back home, and  after changing my clothes, I sat down to transfer the pictures to my laptop. Only then I realized we clicked all the pictures in ‘black and white’ mode! Damnnn..!! Well, I was quite disappointed (and angry.. and sad and more angry.. haha) about the whole situation, but then did not have the energy to change again and go out for another shoot. So, I am just playing with what I have today.. ok?

P.S. I am no immune to the ‘selfie-craziness’, so I clicked a picture while waiting in the car (thankfully), but that’s only half of my outfit.. so you will have to bear with it today! Happy Monday you all..!!

This Halloween

This Halloween was quite special! Reason being we (moi and husband) were invited to an amazing Halloween party! Secondly, I had nothing to wear (as usual hehe..) so, I used my creativity to come up with something special using the clothes I already own in my closet.
And if you can’t tell, I dressed up as a Bollywood actress! I had all the bling and glamour in place 😉
Being said that, this idea (or outfit) will work on any other occasion too! What I did was simply swapped my Sari blouse with a sequined top and draped the Sari a little differently (wearing the Pallu like a Stole)! Remember when I wore this Sari before here? I am wearing the same Sari in this post but styled it completely differently.

So ladies – let your creative juices flow and think of reviving your old Saris and make good use of them! What say? Now you know why I gave you the hint of not getting over Saris 😛
