I realize that I haven’t been around lately. Not even wished you all a Happy New Year. So let me first do that – Wish you all a super great year ahead!
Frankly, I am very much engrossed in some other matters at the moment which are extremely time and energy consuming (like the fact that I am moving to Orlando, Florida next month.. yippee!!). So all I am doing right now is packing, planning, making lists, shortlisting apartments etc. Anyhow, life has been fun. I took a 2 weeks long break back in December during Christmas. Though not on the blog, I am quite active on Instagram (@rising_colors). I promise that once I am all settled in Florida, I will be back to my normal routine on the blog. This blog is my first love, and will always be! I really miss blogging.
I wore these floor length Bootcut jeans with a nice, long, super warm coat to the movies the other day. This was clicked one day after the storm hit us. It wasn’t as bad in Boston as it was in Washington D.C.

A good blogger would never tell you that they don’t feel like blogging (for whatever reasons that may be). But here I am, finally saying it out loud, I am leaning away from blogging off lately. It’s not a writer’s block. It’s just that I have other priorities to deal with in life right now (no, I am not pregnant). And no, this certainly does not mean that I am shutting down the blog or whatever. This only means that the posts here would not as regular as they used to be, which you might have already noticed, if you are a regular reader. I feel one shouldn’t do anything unless they are passionate about it!
This outfit is from a couple weeks back. Winters are here, and layering is all you are going to see for the next few months.. so let’s get on with it! (Again, I am not going anywhere.. just taking it slow) 🙂
Thank you for understanding!
P.S. I cut these jeans myself. They were too long.. so I made them right 😉

‘Tis the season of pumpkin spiced lattes (I prefer salted caramel mocha though 😉 ), banana walnut bread, leather skirts, plum lipsticks, black boots and big fluffy scarves! It’s the Fall season, my favorite of all!!
Out of the above mentioned, I am sporting at least three here on the blog today. I eyed this skirt for last whole winter season, but never bought it since it was way above my budget. Generally, when buying clothing items, I have a threshold (to not buy anything above 70 USD). This keeps my budget in check and saves me from splurging. But then came spring, and the prices slashed! I finally got my hands on it. It’s a wrap-around skirt, and I love the texture and the color! Yes, the downside was I couldn’t wear it last year, but I have no regrets since I will be wearing it so much more this year! Leather never goes out of style. Call it reward for my patience 😉

If it isn’t clear enough, let me put it in to words.. I have been neglecting the blog for a few days. Every time I sit to write something, I just go blank.. then out of boredom I close my computer and just walk away! But I guess, this brief hiatus will only make me come back with lots of inspiration and so much more to talk about! I am excited about the 4th of July weekend – the parade, the fireworks and all the fun! This time it’s going to be double fun for us. Till then, enjoy some pictures from Boston downtown 🙂
P.S. I have a hair appointment for tomorrow. I am going to chop these locks once again! Time for a new cut – I am bored of this bob length.. Let’s see what do I walk out with 😉
