Where should I even start? Words fall short for this lost time. Honestly, I might have thought about a hundred times of how I would write this post. Yes, THIS one – the one you are reading – the one where I would re-introduce myself as a mommy of two. I thought a lot and when nothing helped – here I am.. Today I decided to just sit down and write. Write – whatever comes to my mind because well, this is my blog and it has always been like that. I write what I want to write. And you read what I write. Right? 🙂 To be frank, I tried a several times to come back to the blog on a regular basis, but then I always got distracted – sometimes by a screaming toddler and other times by a baby needing a diaper change. Simply saying ‘my life has changed’ doesn’t even begin to describe the chaos that I live in now. But do I love it? Oh boy, I do love it! This chaos is my new normal. This chaos fills my heart up to the brim. This chaos helps me sleep peacefully every night (by which I mean the few hours that I get to sleep, thanks to the little one). After my last post, you were right to expect baby pictures and the postpartum stories and all that faff. But if you know me.. you would know that I find it tedious to pen all that. Who wants to go back and talk about their birth stories – I just wanted to recover and get back on my feet. 9 months of pregnancy is more than enough to talk about pain and discomfort. No more, please. Plus I was too busy to even blink! Both my babies needed me 24/7. And like I’ve always said – ‘Life happens’. And it happened. To me. Anyhow, now that we are on other side of the tunnel, I finally managed to sit down and just scribble my jumbled thoughts.
And if you’ve come here just for pictures, well then I wouldn’t dare disappoint you! We clicked these today post lunch with friends. I know, yes it’s almost December, and no we don’t need jackets in Florida. Thanks much! Oh by the way, Happy Thanksgiving!
This Halloween was quite special! Reason being we (moi and husband) were invited to an amazing Halloween party! Secondly, I had nothing to wear (as usual hehe..) so, I used my creativity to come up with something special using the clothes I already own in my closet.
And if you can’t tell, I dressed up as a Bollywood actress! I had all the bling and glamour in place 😉
Being said that, this idea (or outfit) will work on any other occasion too! What I did was simply swapped my Sari blouse with a sequined top and draped the Sari a little differently (wearing the Pallu like a Stole)! Remember when I wore this Sari before here? I am wearing the same Sari in this post but styled it completely differently.
So ladies – let your creative juices flow and think of reviving your old Saris and make good use of them! What say? Now you know why I gave you the hint of not getting over Saris 😛

It was quite a month long break! What say people? Did you miss me? Did you miss my posts? I surely missed you all my lovely readers, but then I was enjoying my vacation way too much hence I took a little break from the blogging community. However, I am back now! My vacation is over, and the routine life is back in place. I am back in States. To all my Indian readers – how were your holidays/festivals? Did you have loads of fun? Did you have a blast? Because I did! Being in India during this festive season is the best decision ever. No one else celebrates their festivals like we Indians do! We eat, we gift, we travel, we buy, we give, we celebrate, we literally have a blast (specially on Diwali)! What say??
Anyhow, I must get over my vacation days now considering I don’t want you guys to feel J or anything 😉 (specially my Indian readers/bloggers/friends who did not get a chance to visit India this year)!
Today I am sharing a very few pictures from the main festivals/ceremonies I celebrated during my visit to India. This time I was totally in to Saris. Here’s the proof..
P.S. Shall post more pictures from my visit in the coming posts! So stay tuned 😀
Such a lazy Wednesday it is! Too lazy to even get up and cook lunch. Hence, thinking of going out to grab some food with husband. And by the time you would be reading this, I would be enjoying my meal of the day!
Now, that Diwali is over, I am feeling a little low as my favorite festival of the year is finally over. Though I hope all my Indian friends and readers celebrated it very well and had a fantastic time!!
For my Non-Indian readers and friends, Diwali is the Indian festival that brings a series of festivals with it. One after another, we get a chance to celebrate five ceremonious occasions. The people of all age groups and classes with equal zeal and enthusiasm celebrate Diwali throughout India. They put on new clothes and participate in the various activities that are related to Diwali celebrations. It is a festival of celebrations such as lightings, crackers, cleanliness, colorful rangoli making, social gatherings to exchange greetings and sharing sweets with your loved ones. Diwali is a festival filled with spiritualism and religious activities.
I wore this sari last night on the occasion of Diwali, which I bought five months ago and wore it for the first time yesterday. I bought it from FASHIONandYOU, sadly I don’t remember the specific brand of the sari. But I loveeee this chiffon sari and the print on it!
Meet my husband – my life partner – my best friend – my soul mate – my photographer – my critic – my supporter and the most amazing person in my life! A bonus pic in the end…
Since it was evening time, all the clicks were taken at home and temple! Hope you like them.
Let this Diwali burn all your bad times and enter you in good times.
