Reached Halfway

That’s right folks I’m halfway through this pregnancy. Currently at 20 weeks and 6 days, I am looking forward for the rest of the months to pass faster. (I swear it feels like I’ve been pregnant for ages now!!). It’s not a hell lot of fun, I tell you. There are crappy days, there are energetic days, there are foodie days, and then there are just uneventful days (need not mention the mood swings). No two days are similar. The only constant factor are my workouts. I am holding on to it as tightly as possible. I don’t want to let go though laziness and fatigue keeps hovering over my head ready to hijack me, but I’m not ready to give in yet. Yes, I do take breaks, relax at a little, take naps as and when required. Nevertheless, my strength has diminished to half its capacity and so has my stamina. Breathlessness is so common, that sometimes I get breathless just by sitting on the couch watching TV (smh..)! Weird things happen during pregnancy. My body is changing rapidly and I have accepted it. Yes, I understand that everyone is different, everyone’s experience is different, but I am allowed to share mine. πŸ˜‰
Anyways, its been quite a few weeks since my last post, so let me get you all on the same page here with what all that has happened in the past month!

This seems like ages ago. We went out for a movie that evening (followed by a finger licking Mexican dinner) when dear husband clicked this impromptu picture of mine. I think I was asking him if my bump was visible yet. Well, clearly it wasn’t that substantial then! πŸ™‚

If you read my previous few blogs, you would know that my mom visited me for a month. This picture is from a hot sunny afternoon when I took her to visit the Ripley’s museum and few other local attractions. It doesn’t seem like it, but the skirt was a bad idea (it started feeling uneasy on the waist after a few hours). That is when I realized it was time to re-arrange my wardrobe.

Another day out with mother. We drove to St. Augustine on a hot Sunday to visit the very famous castle (google it). Accidentally we both wore blue (I promise it wasn’t planned).

You see how the bump is growing! Day after day I don’t realize much, but now that I am posting these pictures (in the order of occurrence), I am actually noticing the gradual change. This was taken when we went to La Madeleine for coffee and croissants and it started pouring cats and dogs! What a romantic evening it was..

This was taken on July 4th. I know, I know this is not much of a red, white and blue outfit (more of a blue and white outfit). I could have actually swapped my handbag (or shoes) in red color. Anyways, we had family visiting us and July 4th seemed a perfect idea for a picnic outdoors followed by scenic fireworks. Fun memories!

Wore this to celebrate my aunt’s birthday. I made cakes too!! πŸ˜€

My birthday!!! As I said in my previous post, my birthday falls in July. I celebrated with family, ate a delicious Pizza dinner and exchanged lots of smiles. πŸ™‚

This is my recent picture (taken last Saturday before heading out for burgers and fries). The bump is clearly visible now and I have started feeling very mild kicks!! Yayy!! πŸ˜€

Back in May

I know June is almost over and we are stepping in to July (my birth month aka the ‘best’ month πŸ˜‰ ). But I have to share with you all that we went to Miami in the month of May to celebrate 5 blissful years of our marriage. Truth be told, I loved the getaway, but was uncomfortable most of the time. I was in my first trimester of the pregnancy hence my taste buds were horrible and exhaustion was at its peak. Plus the acne wasn’t helping either. The bump wasn’t much visible yet, hence I was able to wear all my usual stuff. The thing is, we planned this vacation a few months in advance so we did not want to cancel it. Nevertheless, all went well! Honestly, I love the fact that I am so close to beaches now that I live in Orlando. We spend every alternate Sunday on a beach.

This white dress was my choice for our date night. I wanted to keep it romantic yet simple.

The yellow and black color combo worked really well. I like how the yellow color strikes more with a black base.

This dress is my personal favorite for vacations. It’s light, sexy and summer appropriate. Sometimes I also wear it as a cover up over my bikini.

Nothing pleases me more than a maxi these days. The ease and comfort is what I look for when travelling. Specially now that I am pregnant, maxi dresses are the only thing that I want to wear, all the time. Can you blame me!

These are selfies. Unfortunately, I do not have a full length view of this dress. Anyhow, the off shoulder style gave my enough room to breath, feel sexy and enjoy the sunny weather! What more one could ask for? πŸ˜‰

While in Downtown

I am not one of those fashion bloggers who specially dress up for the blog posts. What I wear in my personal life is what I post here (I’ve said this before). This is the idea behind street style/personal style blogging. And truthfully, this outfitΒ is exactly what I wore today to grab a cup of Almond Latte in Lake Mary downtown. It’s nice and warm in Orlando, and undoubtedly I am welcoming mini skirts with open arms.
It’s almost spring, I know.. but then I felt like dressing up for Fall. Ha! I promise, I will include more flowers in my next outfit to soothe your eyes, and to maintain balance of the universe.Β πŸ˜‰
Would you believe if I say this skirt was a thrift find (and is almost 2 years old)! Also this top is making it’s second entry on the blog today. Judging by the positive response it got when I first wore it, even I don’t know why I never wore it again (on the blog). Of course I wore it many times but never clicked pictures. Better late than never!

Quite a neutral theme going on here. I wanted to design an outfit around these booties (last worn here), so I picked a thrifted turtleneck and a casual Β pair of pants. All the items in this outfit are at least an year old. I remember it being a gray day, with no sunshine. In case you noticed, my hair is shorter from before. I am experimenting with different hair lengths to see what looks best on me! You know.. I get bored easily. πŸ˜‰

Life is fun this way!

Happy Diwali to my Indian readers!!
