Comfort was my main concern for this vacation (considering the pregnancy). I simply wanted to be able to walk comfortably and not feel out of breath, or care about the shoes hurting my feet or not supporting my back and legs with enough cushion etc. Hence, I packed my reliable white pair of shoes. They are trendy, they go with everything, and kept my feet (and back) happy.
Being 7 months pregnant has literally compelled me to dig my closet for loose fitting blouses and swinging dresses. This dress is an year old (or more I guess), and was perfect for my vacation day out. The weather in Chicago was perfect. No humidity, no heat, just perfect Fall weather. The mornings and evenings were a little chilly and the days were not that warm – just perfect. It reminded me of my Boston days. I miss that. Le Sigh..!!
Oh and I finally entered my third trimester (feels like an achievement to be honest!). The baby has become more active and keeps kicking all-the-time. Sometimes the kicks are so strong, they make my belly jump! Specially, when I sit down to eat, I constantly feel the kicks. It feels quite unusual (rather weird) when you are eating and
something someone is kicking and moving inside your belly. Oh the joys of pregnancy..!! It never ends.

‘Tis the season of pumpkin spiced lattes (I prefer salted caramel mocha though 😉 ), banana walnut bread, leather skirts, plum lipsticks, black boots and big fluffy scarves! It’s the Fall season, my favorite of all!!
Out of the above mentioned, I am sporting at least three here on the blog today. I eyed this skirt for last whole winter season, but never bought it since it was way above my budget. Generally, when buying clothing items, I have a threshold (to not buy anything above 70 USD). This keeps my budget in check and saves me from splurging. But then came spring, and the prices slashed! I finally got my hands on it. It’s a wrap-around skirt, and I love the texture and the color! Yes, the downside was I couldn’t wear it last year, but I have no regrets since I will be wearing it so much more this year! Leather never goes out of style. Call it reward for my patience 😉

No matter how much I claim my favorite color is Red, it can’t compete to the number of blue clothes I have in my closet! Even I am surprised, honestly. I have barely 2 red dresses, 2 or 3 (max) red blouses and 1 pair of red pants. That’s it! Huhhh!! Well, it seems I need to sit back, relax and seriously ponder over this whole ‘my favorite color’ thing! I obviously need to sort this out (for my own-self, at least)! 😉
How is Monday treating you..?? Well, I am back in Boston, back to work, back to the usual stuff. These pictures are from D.C. when we (as in me and family) visited to the National Harbor in Maryland.

I guess it’s safe to call myself a ‘Bostonian‘ now. I am in Boston and well settled (in case if you were wondering 😉 ). Well this was one crazy move, that is all I can say! And a Big Gasp!! Since I have never-ever-in my life witnessed this much snow altogether at one place, at one point of time! I am a summer person and I used to dislike winters (even as a child), and look where God put me now! Talk about irony. Anyhow, you gotta do what you gotta do, right!
A couple of weeks ago, while in D.C., we experienced a very warm weekend and that’s when I took out my loving skirt from the bottom of my ‘favorite skirts’ stash. I can only dream of such warm weather right now. I added some light layers and a hat. That’s it. Perfect for a coffee or movie outing.
P.S. How do you like the new blog layout! 🙂
