All those rigorous Bootcamp classes that I was attending in D.C. have really helped me ‘up’ my fitness game! No seriously, I have been looking for similar classes here in Boston since I moved but haven’t found anything even close. I miss my trainer so badly. He was one the best! He is the reason I am at an Intermediate level now! Well, I have been at a beginner level all my life. But he really pushed me.. I can’t believe I was doing 20 (assisted) pull ups at a time when I left D.C.! That is something huge for me. Only if I wish I find something close here in Boston.
I girl can only wish..!!

When other parts of the world are experiencing blasting summer, we Bostonians finally got to see some sun and a rise in temperature! No complains there. I had a pretty busy weekend – and no I wasn’t busy doing chores and laundry etc. I was busy surfing my beautiful city. I just like to take the subway, get down at a random station and just wander about – like a nomad! This is my favorite way to spend a day off (well, unless I am traveling). I then eat at any random cafe (or sometimes, I pack my lunch from home and eat it in a park — how fun!), have coffee at a bakery shop, always keep my book handy with me, click lots of pictures of random buildings and come back home dead tired! I don’t go for clubbing and drinking, as I just don’t enjoy either of them!
Oh and did I tell you I have a vacation coming up.. this week! Well – it’s a long weekend and I am off to pack my bags!! 😉
Also I got my hair cut again yesterday! It’s a short bob this time (last pic)..
All this sunshine is finally in my city! It was hot yesterday. Even though it was a Sunday, people were out like it was a national holiday or something. Roads were so crowded, so were the metro trains, the markets, parks.. I never knew so many people were hibernating in Boston! Only now I know Boston is so crowded.. hahaha!!
Well, I embrace the sun and never complain that it’s too hot, because I long for summers (since I moved to the east coast). I had an awesome weekend, and I also have an awesome vacation coming up.. and honestly I am becoming quite impatient now! Just. Can’t. Wait.

Since I moved to Boston, I have been cooking all my three meals at home. Call it the need of the hour or my new resolution! And it has made a remarkable difference in my waist size (no kidding!). Also let’s add to the fact that I have been doing a lot of brisk walking since my new office is located right in the heart of Boston downtown where driving/parking is a nightmare. Hence I travel by subway metro 5 days a week, which includes good amount of walking and to and from the metro station. I now DO NOT take escalators or lifts at all. I climb stairs whenever possible. And then eating home made food all three times of the day (no more bloating.. yikes!!) pretty much helped me in moving one step forward towards my goal!
Remember – You are the first to feel the change in your body. How your clothes fit and how light you feel in your skin determines your fitness! I am happy to report that I feel great. 🙂
