No Autumn in Sight

Autumn is no where to be seen. Who am I kidding! This is Florida. We will be lucky if we experience autumn for 5 days straight! Again, it’s my first year in this state, so I’m yet to experience it myself. The locals say that the weather stays warm till October and then suddenly cools down (skips to winter), which again would be very mild.
When I left Boston (this February), I was SO over snow, and I secretly wished to never come back to snow. Now look at me, hoping for the autumn season to arrive and waiting for the temperature to cool down. Frankly, I.m secretly missing the colder weather, and have no shame in accepting this! The leaves changing color, the weather cooling down, change in wardrobe, the beginning of festival season, the pumpkin spice coffees – ughh.. I’ want it all! NOW!!!  😦
P.S. 29 weeks pregnant today. 3rd trimester is hard (like really HARD). More on that in my next post!

Babymoon

A mid-week post because we are taking the rest of the week off! Babymoon it is! 😀
We are traveling to Milwaukee and Chicago for the Labor Day weekend. Actually we are leaving tomorrow, so it’s an extended weekend! Lots of sight-seeing and walking is on the cards. I just hope I’m able to keep up and not feel like taking a nap every 2 hours. You know, pregnancy has literally lessened my stamina in one-fourth (not even half!). It’s not fun at all.. I miss my strength so bad, I can’t even… 😦
Anyhow, I’m going to complete 27 weeks of pregnancy this weekend. And soon will enter the third trimester. They say, that’s when the real fun begins! Honestly, I can’t wait for the next 3 months to pass. Only if time would pass at our will!

We took these pictures the next day I got my hair trimmed. Which is why, the silky smooth strands.. Otherwise, as you are quite aware by now that my hair have a mind (and mood) of their own, and being silky straight is definitely not one of them! (cue: my natural hair texture). Whilst on the subject, I’m seriously considering going semi-blonde. Maybe next month or so! 😉
P.S. 26 weeks pregnant today.

Pregnancy Dressing

Being pregnant has made me realize so many things. I am now aware of so much stuff I never would’ve known had it not been for this pregnancy. Every stage in our lives teaches us something new. Isn’t it! The changes my body has been going through, are pretty miraculous. The change in my thoughts, that ‘motherly’ feeling slowly seeping through me..
With time, I can feel and connect with my baby more and more. I now know when she becomes active, when is she asleep, what triggers her to move and kick. I can’t wait to bond with her in person. It may sound strange but I dreamt of her the other night. This little angel-faced infant was lying next to me in my dream and she looked so Perfect! She was looking right in my eyes. 🙂
And then I woke up! 😦
Jumping on to the outfit part – Trying to dress up when you have a football sized tummy wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. My main focus has always been ‘comfort’. And pregnancy is no different. I have ample of such airy blouses in my closet, and I guess now is the time to put them to good use. Initially when my bump started to show, I had to really brainstorm to come up with good outfits. But then it became easier.
I think pregnancy is one experience when clothes should be the least of your worries. Wear what you feel is comfortable to you, and feel confident in your body – You are growing a miracle inside you! 🙂
