Zesty

Would you believe me if I say that I still can’t come around the fact that I have a cute little daughter? A daughter who is cute like a button and oh, so adorable. I might sound like a broken record, but that is exactly how I feel. Every night when I put her to sleep in my arms and shower her with a thousand kisses, my eyes tear up. And every night I thank the supreme power for giving me the gift of motherhood. This is the MOST satisfying job in the world. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING else satisfies me more than holding her in my arms. I don’t think this feeling will ever get old. It has been more than 7 months and here I am, still standing in awe and wondering – how on earth my life turned in to this beautiful fairy tale!
In all honesty, every day is not like a fairy tale. Some days are longer (and harder) than others. But such is life – never the same. No two days are same – and that is how it should be.

Playful Stripes

I feel like I go in to this black hole every once in a while and then come out with shining colors with a post like this! Ha.. kidding! There is no hole, its just that life takes priority (and I am very lazy). Plus blogging is not my profession, so a little bit of irregularity does no harm to anyone. Right?
Life has been great lately. This year has brought a lot of changes in my life already (moving states, leaving job etc.), and set to bring many more. Time will tell.
In other news, I am growing out my hair. So right now, I have this awkward phase going on, which if seen by fashion police may land me up in fashion jail! So don’t get surprised if you see a lot of fedora’s and scarves covering my head for another few weeks. I don’t like getting caught. ๐Ÿ˜‰
This dress is an oldie (like 2 years old.. maybe 3). But its the most comfortable maxi dress that I own. You can see why! And you know it very well that I don’t like to accessorize too much, specially in summers when it is too hot anyway to wear an extra piece around the neck or tons of bracelets in hands. I believe in ‘Less is More’. I like to let my outfit speak.
Till next time! Ta!!

Another Birthday

I turned another year older (or say another year wiser) this Friday!ย Birthday’s do not excite me that much anymore. Though I am VERY grateful for all the wishes and blessings (birthday or no birthday..!!) that my family and friends shower on me! Your blessings mean a lot, and that’s all that matters.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that now I understand why my parents never used to be ‘super excited’ about their birthdays (unlike us kids).ย I am not against celebration or anything.. I am just saying that in the past decade or two, all this ‘birthday’ thing has been hyped way too much!

Anyhow, I spent my day low-key with my family, baked a cake for my own birthday (which I also cut).. then went out to surf Boston downtown. I try to enjoy all the small-happy moments that life has to offer! ๐Ÿ™‚

Time to Change

If it isn’t clear enough, let me put it in to words.. I have been neglecting the blog for a few days. Every time I sit to write something, I just go blank.. then out of boredom I close my computer and just walk away! But I guess, this brief hiatus will only make me come back with lots of inspiration and so much more to talk about! I am excited about the 4th of July weekend – the parade, the fireworks and all the fun! This time it’s going to be double fun for us. Till then, enjoy some pictures from Boston downtown ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S. I have a hair appointment for tomorrow. I am going to chop these locks once again! Time for a new cut – I am bored of this bob length.. Let’s see what do I walk out with ๐Ÿ˜‰
