Back in May

I know June is almost over and we are stepping in to July (my birth month aka the ‘best’ month 😉 ). But I have to share with you all that we went to Miami in the month of May to celebrate 5 blissful years of our marriage. Truth be told, I loved the getaway, but was uncomfortable most of the time. I was in my first trimester of the pregnancy hence my taste buds were horrible and exhaustion was at its peak. Plus the acne wasn’t helping either. The bump wasn’t much visible yet, hence I was able to wear all my usual stuff. The thing is, we planned this vacation a few months in advance so we did not want to cancel it. Nevertheless, all went well! Honestly, I love the fact that I am so close to beaches now that I live in Orlando. We spend every alternate Sunday on a beach.

Dress: Marshall’s | Sandals: Franco Sarto | Bag: Gifted | Watch Fossil
This white dress was my choice for our date night. I wanted to keep it romantic yet simple.

Blouse: Target | Skirt: Asos | Sandals: Zara | Bag: H&M
The yellow and black color combo worked really well. I like how the yellow color strikes more with a black base.

Dress: Forever 21 | Sandals: Franco Sarto | Bag: H&M
This dress is my personal favorite for vacations. It’s light, sexy and summer appropriate. Sometimes I also wear it as a cover up over my bikini.

Dress: Tommy Hilfiger | Sandals: Sam Edelman | Bag: Gifted
Nothing pleases me more than a maxi these days. The ease and comfort is what I look for when travelling. Specially now that I am pregnant, maxi dresses are the only thing that I want to wear, all the time. Can you blame me!

Dress & Necklace: Thrifted
These are selfies. Unfortunately, I do not have a full length view of this dress. Anyhow, the off shoulder style gave my enough room to breath, feel sexy and enjoy the sunny weather! What more one could ask for? 😉

6 Things you would never see me wearing

Lip Gloss – I just hate the feel and texture of it. It bleeds, make me feel very weird. Yuckk!! I have tried multiple brands (cheap and expensive both) but never came to like anything. And anyways, my lips are full and need no gloss (to make them look fuller). I am happy and content with my matte lipsticks.

Tank Top: Somehow, I just don’t like how it shapes my body. It doesn’t really flatter my body shape as my legs are longer than my torso. Well, let’s just say I like to keep distance from tank tops.

Fake eye lashes: Fake anything doesn’t excite me at all. Fake friends, fake relationships, fake eyelashes, fake nails, fake hair – all are same to me! Plus, I am at peace with the length of my eye lashes (nails and hair too). A single swipe of mascara is all I need to enhance them.

Rings in all fingers/toes: As you know and I have mentioned it before, I don’t do too much of anything – be it jewelery, make-up, whatever! And wearing rings in all fingers – it’s just ‘uncomfortable’ to me. I mean if you shake your hands with someone, you could just injure them if you press too hard.. haha!!

Tube Top: I still have to find something with a ‘mind blowing’ hold and support! The hunt is on, so let me know if you find it first. 😉 Keep in mind that I am not a flat-chested woman, I have curves and I love them!

Black Lipstick: Well, some wear it with elan! I just can’t imagine even touching it. Not my style at all. There are hundreds of other shades which are fabulous, but black just doesn’t do the trick for me!

Posting the last installment of pictures from my recent trip to Niagara!

Why You Shouldn’t Travel

As I upload all these pictures from our ‘super short’ vacation (a 4-day trip IS a super-short vacation, right??), I am re-living those days! How lovely it is, to wake-up on a week day knowing you don’t have to go to work.. simply relax and go city surfing instead. (Dream Life.. ahhh..)

On the contrary, when I think of it, vacations do no good to you either! Ask me why? Here are just a few reasons I can give you to prove my point –

  1. You don’t wanna come back. EVER. Like E-V-E-R. (All of us can agree to this one.. right?)
  2. The next time you go to work, you just don’t wanna work.. (I still have a vacation hangover!)
  3. You have all that extra laundry to take care of.. once you return (I hate it!)
  4. You gain weight from all the outside (yummy) food! (Luckily I did not gain much on this trip.. Yayy..)
  5. How could you forget the inevitable hole in your pocket – thanks to all the traveling, shopping and indulging activities..
  6. Unpacking.. blahhh!! Enough said. (I’m still unpacking.. I know I am lazy..)

So that’s my list! Care to add more..?? All that being said and discussed, I still WANT to go on another vacation. I ALWAYS WILL. My love for traveling will never cease to exist!

Coming to the pictures, these pictures were on a beautiful windy evening.. actually the same day these pictures were clicked. The only difference is – I took a dip in the ocean jut before these ones were clicked! Hence, the wet, frizzy hair..
